England v USA Venue
The venue for this huge World Cup match will be the excellent Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, it may be one of the smaller stadiums being used for the tournament, holding just 42,000 fans, but it should be one of the most atmospheric when holding its six matches.
The England v USA match will by far the biggest match at the stadium during the World Cup with tens of thousands of England fans expected to descend on the quite area. The stadium itself is named after the local Bafokeng people who leave near the stadium who are looking forward to welcoming both teams to the town, there has been some concerns over the numbers that are expected to descend on the town but those fears have been dismissed by the organisers.
The stadium itself was first opened in 1999 but went through a full upgrade in time for the 2009 Confederations Cup, during that tournament it hosted four matches and received a good reception from the press and fans. The stadium is also used for Rugby Union and has an Athletics track around the pitch for track and field meets which will add to the legacy of the stadium after the World Cup has finished.
